Register & Get API Keys

Create your free account to receive a unique Tenant Key and API Key. These keys authenticate your requests to the METIS scanning engine.

Step 2
Submit Content for Scanning

Send text, upload files (TXT, CSV, JSON, XML), or connect a database. Each scan uses 1 credit from your balance.

Step 3
AI-Powered Detection

Our engine analyses content using fuzzy matching, reverse detection, obfuscation decoding, and multi-language support to catch what others miss.

Step 4
Get Detailed Reports

Receive comprehensive reports showing every match with exact positions, match types, severity levels, and confidence scores. Fetch reports by ID for audit trails.

Step 5
Optional Cleaning & Redaction

Enable cleaning to automatically redact detected profanity. Download cleaned files or receive sanitised text with configurable replacement characters.

Available Scan Types
Text Scan

Paste or type text directly. Ideal for checking user-generated content, chat messages, or form submissions in real-time.

File Scan

Upload TXT, CSV, JSON, or XML files for batch scanning. Enable cleaning to download a sanitised copy of the file.

Database Scan

Connect to MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server databases. Scan specific tables and columns for profane content at scale.

Microsoft Office Add-ins

Scan inside Word (whole document or page range, matches highlighted), Excel (cells, ranges or the current selection, flagged cells shaded and annotated) and PowerPoint (every text shape on chosen slides). A Metis Halo ribbon tab holds Scan and Settings; paste your API key once and all three share it. Billed at 1 credit per 1,000 scans.

Your Own Applications

The same API is open to software you build or run: website forms, CMS and e-commerce plug-ins, chat, review and support tools, data-import pipelines. Anything that handles text can call api.metishalo.com with your key. The API may be used freely inside applications that do not compete with the METIS HALO service itself, that is, products whose purpose is to resell profanity detection as a service.
